Best Homemade BBQ Sauce for Ribs

This is the best homemade BBQ sauce for ribs. ¬†Everyone we’ve made it for says it’s terrific! Also great on pulled pork, brisket and chicken. A classic American barbecue sauce made especially for BBQ ribs. Quick, easy to prepare and delicious!

 

 

Makes: about 3 cups
Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups ketchupribs
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/3 cup molasses
1/2 cup pineapple juice or ou can sub apple cider vinegar)
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 1/2 teaspoons ground mustard
2 teaspoons paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or less for milder sauce)
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/8 cup water mixed with 1 tablespoon corn starch

Instructions:

Combine all the ingredients (except water and corn starch) in a medium sauce pot. Bring to a boil, reduce and simmer for five minutes. For a thicker sauce add water and corn starch. Watch closely and simmer until thickened. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate.

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 5 minutes

Total time: 15 minutes
